Have you ever wondered if a certain person likes you or not, but couldn’t just ask? Non verbal communication is as essential as any type of communication. Find out some basic flirting body language and see if you stand a chance or you should rather forget it.

Nonverbal communication plays an essential part in all human relationships. Many people focus on verbal communication, considering it the most important thing, but hey, remember that people are able to lie and they are doing it most of the times. However, body language never lies. So, if you would like to know how you stand and would die to find out if he or she fancies you, you should read the signs their bodies show.

So, let’s see some obvious flirting body language.
First of all, you should pay much attention to her or his feet. In case they are pointed at you, you are lucky, he or she digs you. Generally, the feet of a person point to their interests, so if they point at you, you are it.

Move on to the hands of a person. The posture of the hands and arms is very important in nonverbal communication. If the hands are crossed this is clearly a NO! In case the arms are in a relaxed posture or in the pockets, this is a good sign. If he or she places his or her hands on your shoulder while you speak, that’s also an encouraging sign.

The eyes are also important. If he or she makes a lot of eye contact this is great, but this sign might be misleading. As a rule, confident people are not afraid of making eye contact with anyone, regardless if they like that person or not. On the other hand shy people avoid eye contact even if they are attracted to someone.

Then, there are the lips. If he or she plays with their own lips or even wets them with the tongue while talking to you about his or her job or any boring subject, you’re clearly in for some good time. So, as you can see, people may discuss boring stuff, but still tell you something that you want to hear: that they are interested in you.

Next stop, the hair. Well, this applies to women only (especially those with long hair). So, if the woman is playing with her hair while she is talking to you, this is a flirting body language telling you that she is attracted to you.

All in all, not only animals send body language signals when they want to mate. People use non verbal communication, even if not at a conscious level to show that they are interested in someone. So, reading body language signs can give you an advantage in all human relationships and give you hints about those you like.
